Who is behind Serious Lip Balm?
Khara and Luckey unknowingly launched Serious Lip Balm from Khara’s kitchen in 2014 when they discovered a mutual passion for creating handmade and useful gifts while also making people laugh.
This little business-that-could quickly escalated from a way to give something heartfelt to friends to a fully-fledged business with more than 15 products and hundreds of SKUs. 4,367 pounds of beeswax later, they are still rocking out new products and still having a blast while doing it.
Khara and Luckey have won multiple awards for their business and philanthropy, including the ‘Good Does Good’ initiative that identifies and supports local community organizations in Central Illinois.

What ingredients are in Serious Lip Balm products?
Our products contain beeswax, sweet almond oil, coconut oil, mango butter, kokum butter, shea butter, lanolin, vitamin E oil & natural “flavor” oils that are actually scents and not flavors. We know, it’s confusing, but if your lip balm TASTES like a cinnamon roll, you’re going to lip your lips and dry them out and blame us. We don’t want that. We want happy lips.
Do Serious Lip Balm products contain an SPF?
There is currently a natural SPF in our product due to the inclusion of beeswax.
I have nut allergies can I still use Serious Lip Balm products?
It honestly just depends upon the product and which nut allergies you have – many of our products contain sweet almond oil, so if you need to avoid that, make sure you check the ingredients list. Can’t have nut oils at ALL? Try our nipple balms, they are nut free!
Can I customize my Serious Lip Balm products?
Absolutely! We love to customize our balms for those who would like them, and we are always open to new ideas.
Do you sell Serious Lip Balm swag?
