01 Nov What We Have Been Up To
It feels as if the last few months have been an amazing whirlwind of activity.
We have been gearing up for the holiday season, selling lots of lip balm, meeting awesome new people, getting some amazing media coverage, drinking lots of coffee, and working our way towards lip balm world domination.
One Early September morning the guys at WLDS lovingly invited us on air. We explained a little bit about our lip balm and had some laughs. It was such a cool experience.
We have also been working on lots of new products, like always. Some of our latest and greatest bundles are the Frigid Bitch, Serious Bitch, and Elf bundle..to name a few. New flavors include eggnog, mint hot chocolate, and candy cane. And with help from our bros at the Open House Print Shop we designed a rad new shirt that is available on our website.
We had some awesome adventures at the Illinois Products Farmers Market on a Thursday in late September. We managed to meet Bonzi from 997KSSFM in Springfield.
We met with Scott and signed a (approximately) 900 page lease at White Oaks Mall in Springfield and will be selling there in November as part of their Central Illinois Boutique. We are so excited to be mall rats and sit on Santa’s lap. Stop in and see us Nov 12 & 13.
We had lots of help setting up for the First Sunday Midwest Bazaar in Petersburg during the first weekend in Oct. And our helped paid US in HUGS…doesn’t get much better.
You can always tell when the whole gang gets together.
Hydration is the name of the game. There’s probably no vodka in any of those Nalgene’s.
We made it back to our favorite building in the midwest for the Memorial Hospital’s Be Aware Women’s Fair…
and even had some customers make good use of our Surrender Jar.
All three of us went to a class at Illinois College and talked to them about how we created our business and where it has taken us. We (probably) looked as if we knew what we were talking about, but most importantly we got to see Suit in a real life suit..
We recently had Steve Nichols stop by and film us making lip balms and lend us a hand. We swapped stories and giggled until we sprained our cheeks.
We even managed to rope him into making some products.
And all along we have been getting ready for the crazy shows we have coming up. Lots of new bags, buntings, business cards, and new scents to show you.
It has been so much fun, and even though we don’t get to catch up on our DVRd shows or cook dinner as much as we would want to, we can not imagine a better way to spend our time.
