((SHOW))ing some LOVE

((SHOW))ing some LOVE

So we have two wonderfully exciting shows that are just around the corner for us.
The first is the Illinois Product Expo.
We. Are. Stoked.
The Illinois Product Expo will be March 3 & 4 at the Orr building inside the Illinois State Fairgrounds.
This will be our third year doing the Illinois Product Expo and this may come to a complete surprise to you, but we have made some friends there.

A must stop shop for me, personally, is Country Lights Soy Candles. HOLY MOLY these smell incredible.  I make sure to get a few of the Nectarine & White Ginger Burst…and then I hoard them in my cabinet because I don’t want to use them up.  It is a ridiculous proactive that I do not suggest…but I’m just being real with you. Get some, they make your entire house smell clean and shampoo-y. (that’s a word now. I said so.)

As soon as I start thinking about the IL Product Expo I start thinking about Homestead Bakery.  Our friends the Condills have this amazing little place you may have heard of called The Great Pumpkin Patch in Arthur, IL.  Of course you have heard of it, it is amazing. On top of running the patch they have a bakery. And that bakery makes dill bread. AND lots and lots of other great things. BUT DILL BREAD. mmmmmm…..I need all of the dill bread now.

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST….is our friends over at Nuthatch Hill BBQ. Seriously…there is not enough we could possibly say about how awesome this family is. Their sauces and foods are amazing and they are swell folks. They will also be dishes out the yum stuff so go get some of it.

OUR SECOND BIG SHOW is the Hob Nob Hooplah on March 9 & 10. It is going to be in the Expo building inside the Illinois State Fairgrounds…and yall…to say we are excited is an understatement.  We have been doing HobNob Markets for a couple years now. In Effingham. In Peoria. In Altamont. In other places that aren’t our backyard. This time? This time it is on our stomping grounds. YAYAYAYayayayay.  Holly and Scott who run the HobNobs know how to put on a good show. It isn’t just a vendor event, it is an experience. So many beautifully handcrafted and vintage items everywhere you look. You should probably plan to come drink some wine with us on Friday night and come again on Saturday, too.

Our very first HobNob neighbor ever was Cottage 960. She showed us the ropes our first time, and we love that sassy mama so so much. It isn’t a full HobNob for us unless we have gone to rummage around in her little trays and bowls hunting for new little baubles for ourselves.  She offers a jewelry shopping experience that you absolutely can not have anywhere else. And, we love her. Lots.

Our last HobNob was in Effingham. And we got accepted on Wednesday before the event. And it was craziness. And we got there and our tent wouldn’t fit in our space. and we were freaking out. and luckey was sweating. and our neighbors were ROCKSTARS. ROCKSTARS!! By the good grace of all that is holy we were plopped next to The Honaker Homemaker (and her sweet friend, Kelly ) Not only were they totally cool about one of tent poles all up in their bidniz for the weekend, Her stuff was BEAUTIFUL. She does string art like we had never seen before. AND AND AND…she brings a big felt ball pit that is insanely fun. Trust us on that!
